Parking - DOCC Personnel 1500-2
Payment for Parking 1500-1
TCE Parking 1500-3
TITLE: PAYMENT FOR PARKING
This policy will standardize the method of payment of the parking at F Division Headquarters.
The parking stalls are electrified and as such, must be paid for by the employees who park in them to recoup some of the cost of the electricity.
The employees will be charged $12.00 per month for the months of November to March inclusive. This cost will be automatically deducted monthly from your pay cheque as a payroll deduction.
The majority of DOCC employees share a parking stall with 3 other DOCC employees. It is desirable to have only one person pay for the parking. This allows for an easier accounting process. The three (3) DOCC members who share the parking stall shall decide which of the two will handle the payment of the parking for the year.
The automatic payroll deduction request shall be submitted to the person in charge of allocating the parking in a timely manner.
TITLE: PARKING - DOCC PERSONNEL
This policy will standardize the parking of DOCC personnel.
There is a shortage of assignable parking stalls at F Division Headquarters. The Civilian Members and TCEs of DOCC have been assigned to a particular parking stall in the parking lot between the F Division building and the Lab Building. Due to a shortage of stalls, the stalls are assigned four (4) DOCC employees per stall.
B. PARKING AFTER HOURS
After normal business hours (0800-1600 hours), weekends and statutory holidays, you may park in any stall in the west parking lot that is convenient. Certain tenants of the parking stalls wish to have their stalls available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. DOCC staff will not park in any of these stalls at any time.
During the winter months only, arrangements have been made with members who are allowed to park in the basement. Approximately ten (10) parking stalls in the basement have been allocated to allow DOCC staff to park after hours, weekends and on holidays.
The stalls in the basement that are available to DOCC staff have a sign attached to the wall that states that a DOCC member may park there between 1830 and 0630 hours.
When a member of DOCC does park in one of the allocated stalls in the basement, the employee shall place, on the vehicle dash, the sign that was made up stating that this is a DOCC member vehicle and that you can be reached in the DOCC.
If there is not an available stall in the basement (due to shift change, etc), then the DOCC member will park outside until a stall opens up. At no time will a DOCC member park in
an unallocated parking stall. Nor will a DOCC member park in an unauthorized location in the basement at any time.
The availability to park in the basement is a courtesy, however, if the policy is found to be abused; the practice will be quickly discontinued.
TITLE: TCE PARKING
This policy will standardize the location of where TCEs may park during the Monday to Friday,
0800 to 1600 hour time frame.
There is limited parking for "Visitors" at the front of the "F" Division Headquarter's building during the day time Monday to Friday. The space available is extremely congested throughout the week and it has been requested that TCE not to park in this area.
All Monday to Friday day shift TCEs shall park in the "F" Division overflow parking lot, which is immediately to the Southeast of the South entrance to the "F" Division building.
There is a pedestrian walkway to this parking lot.
A TCE may park in the parking stall of the person they are filling in on shift. If the TCE is an extra worker, then they may locate an allocated parking spot of a DOCC member who is not currently working and park in their parking stall. There is a list of the parking stall numbers and who is allocated to each stall on the main bulletin board in the DOCC. As well, all DOCC parking stalls are identified with a sticker on the power pole at the front of the stall.
